Is Your Mattress Making You Sick?

Night after night, we sleep on the same mattress. Your linens are probably washed regularly, but are we really getting our sleeping areas clean?

The same would apply to sofas and couches. Are we cleaning these areas regularly? Deep cleaning can certainly make a difference in our health, with allergens causing so many issues today.

There are a few ways to clean a mattress or sofa for better relaxation and sleep:\

Baking soda – Baking soda can help to sanitize and deodorize mattresses and cushions. Sprinkle baking soda liberally over the mattress, let sit for about 30 minutes, then vacuum deeply.

Linen sprays – Lavender, spruce, or other hydrosol waters can help deodorize and freshen linens.

Another option is a mattress vacuum. Jigoo makes a handy little vacuum for mattresses and cushions. It has a UV light and heat for deep sanitizing mattresses. Dust mites, allergens, cat dander, and other things that can irritate the throat and skin, causing disturbed sleep.
